When a model gets worse over time because the world moved on and it did not. A pricing or demand model trained two years ago quietly stops matching how customers behave now.
Neural Network
A system of simple connected units, loosely inspired by the brain, that learns patterns from examples rather than following rules somebody wrote. Nearly all modern AI is built on one.
Recommendation Engine
A system that suggests what somebody might want next based on behaviour — the “customers also bought” of an online shop. One of the oldest commercial uses of machine learning.

Taking a general model and training it further on your own examples so it follows your tone or handles your particular task. Useful when prompting alone keeps producing nearly-right answers.
AI Share of Voice
How often your business is named when assistants are asked about your category, compared with competitors. There is no official figure, so it is measured by asking the same questions repeatedly and counting.
Transformer
The model architecture behind almost every modern AI system, introduced in 2017. Its trick is paying attention to how every word in a passage relates to every other, which is what made fluent machine writing possible.
