BreadcrumbList Schema
Markup describing where a page sits in the site’s hierarchy. It helps both search engines and assistants understand that a page is a service under a category, not a stray document.

Well-Known URI
A standard location, always under /.well-known/, where machines look for information about a site — security contacts, API catalogues, agent details. Putting files there means they can be found without being linked.
Human-in-the-Loop
Keeping a person in the decision, either approving what the AI produced or handling the cases it flags. The usual sensible middle ground between doing everything by hand and trusting a machine completely.
AI Readiness
Whether a website can be reached, understood and quoted by AI assistants. It covers crawler access, structured data, clear headings, published contact details and speed — the unglamorous things that decide whether a model will name you.
Vector Database
A database built to store embeddings and find the closest matches quickly. It is the part of an AI search system that decides which of your pages is relevant to a question.
Neural Network
A system of simple connected units, loosely inspired by the brain, that learns patterns from examples rather than following rules somebody wrote. Nearly all modern AI is built on one.
Entity
A distinct thing a search engine can recognise: a company, a person, a place, a product. Being understood as an entity, rather than as a string of characters, is what lets you be recommended by name.
